Jackie
Hi, I’m Jackie. I homeschooled my 2 kids who are now grown up and have had over 30 years experience working with kids. Beginning as the neighbourhood babysitter throughout my high school years for children aged 1-11, I now have over 30 years of experience caring for children from birth to teenage. Upon graduating high school, I spent a year as an AuPair in the USA, then a year in Sydney as a Live-In Nanny for a beautiful family who kept me on as a boarder and regular babysitter the following year when I landed my job as an animation artist at Disney, where word got out about my love of children so I also became the babysitter for many co-workers. I home-schooled my two children, who are now 16 and 19 and have also tutored other children. Watching children grow, develop and become their best little selves is the most rewarding experience that brings me so much joy. I’m passionate about providing enriching experiences that nurture their social, emotional and cognitive development. You can be confident that your children will be nurtured as my own when in my care, and you can rest assured that they’ll have lots of fun! In my spare time, I love hiking and bike riding with my kids, filmmaking, creating art, and spending time with my two long-haired chihuahuas, who love running around the beach! I look forward to meeting you and your family.

Serena
Hi, I’m Serena. I’m a childcare educator, an english teacher and a nanny. I have always had a passion for childcare and in the past 8 years I have always worked with kids, either as an English teacher or as a nanny. Because I want to continue working with kids, I am halfway through a Certificate III in Early Childhood education and I have completed my 120 hours placement in a childcare center. I am versatile in terms of the ages I can work with and have experience with babies too (6+ months). I have worked as a nanny for several families, one of which had 5 kids. I have also worked as a teacher in private language schools and as Head of Studies at summer camps so I am used to managing a lot of children at the same time. I really enjoy inventing activities that keep children entertained. I am caring and patient, but firm at the same time. I also have good problem solving skills, I am reliable and I have a great sense of responsibility. I love cooking healthy meals and I take pride in keeping the house tidy. I look forward to meeting your family

Laura
Hi, I’m Laura. For the past 10 years I have dedicated my career exclusively to working with children in various settings including child care, teaching and leisure time. I started babysitting and tutoring Special needs kids when I was a teenager. Also, I have been a leisure time instructor and yoga/zumba teacher in several Summer camps and in out-of-school hours. When I finished my Bachelor in Primary education 4 years ago, I decided to work for a year as a Spanish teacher in the US. After that experience, I have been a 2nd grade teacher in a very nice school in Barcelona. I’m currently having a year off and I hold a W&H visa to work and travel a little around this paradise. What I like the most about caring for children is that they bring out my inner child. I really love their creative mindset, their playfulness, spontaneity and curiosity towards everything that surrounds them. Also, they have the facility to transmit their positive energy and enthusiasm to everyone. I could describe myself as a happy, open-minded, energetic, responsible and sociable girl. In my spare time I love traveling, going to the beach, playing volleyball and hiking. I’m a big fan of nature so from time to time you can find me lost in the woods. I look forward to meeting your family.
