Hi, I’m Jackie. I homeschooled my 2 kids who are now grown up and have had over 30 years experience working with kids.
Beginning as the neighbourhood babysitter throughout my high school years for children aged 1-11, I now have over 30 years of experience caring for children from birth to teenage. Upon graduating high school, I spent a year as an AuPair in the USA, then a year in Sydney as a Live-In Nanny for a beautiful family who kept me on as a boarder and regular babysitter the following year when I landed my job as an animation artist at Disney, where word got out about my love of children so I also became the babysitter for many co-workers.
I home-schooled my two children, who are now 16 and 19 and have also tutored other children. Watching children grow, develop and become their best little selves is the most rewarding experience that brings me so much joy. I’m passionate about providing enriching experiences that nurture their social, emotional and cognitive development.
You can be confident that your children will be nurtured as my own when in my care, and you can rest assured that they’ll have lots of fun! In my spare time, I love hiking and bike riding with my kids, filmmaking, creating art, and spending time with my two long-haired chihuahuas, who love running around the beach!
