Hi I’m Karen. I’m mum to Hayley 21 & Hannah 18. I love the beach & spending time with friends.
I have a close connection to Vanuatu where I like to spend my holidays. I have a name sake child there called Karen, and her family are a huge part of my life. I hold an Associate Diploma of Child Care and have worked with children for close to 30 years. I have experience in long day care centres, after hour school care settings, and I have recently closed my own family daycare service after 14 years. I am working as a Learning Support Officer at one of the local primary schools in my area.
I have been nominated in the past for the Educator of the year award through the National Family Daycare Australia and was voted by the families in my care for this very blessed award. My passion is children, watching & teaching them to learn & grow through play is my ultimate goal. Guiding & nurturing is important & providing support to the families is the utmost importance as well. I have had experience with all ages from 0-12 including new born babies & children with additional needs. I will be providing quality care for your child/ren & helping to provide support to you & your family in a way you will feel comfortable leaving your most valuable possession.
